as their daughter and son were growing up fast this client needed some updates to their New England Colonial. We updated the Kitchen with a new backsplash to be easy to maintain and give the Kitchen a more finished look. Using complimentary subway tiles in the kitchen and laundry immediately added symmetry. Custom counter height stools with Quadrille Fabric updated the island.
The Dining room had temporary furniture and no lighting. We worked with husband and wife team from Rhode Island, Kingston Krafts customizing a rustic dining table that will last forever. the chairs and lighting complimented the dark wood table and navy Stark Wilton carpet. The client surprised her husband with some boat art from their summer place in NJ. Dark navy grasscloth allowed the art to pop!
The Powder room was updated with fun Quadrille- Allen Campbell wallpaper. The Living rm was the current laundry folding place. So we added a built-ins, art and custom furniture and accessories to start this young couple on their way to having adult rooms with furniture that will last for years. The chairs and sofa can be reupholstered over and over as their tastes change because they are made in the USA especially for my client.
